Last Friday was the award ceremony for the prestigious Diversity Index Award, and guess what? We won in the gender category!
The award goes to change makers in the civil society who show impact, innovation and concrete change for diversity. With devotion and engagement, the winner is a role model and reflects the society in which we live.
The jury’s motivation reads:
“Pink Programming works in a focused and structured way to work against norms in an industry that is still unequal. They work with the goal of making programming accessible to everyone and creating a tech industry where female and non-binary developers, as well as transgender people, should be as common as male developers. They have also understood the importance of highlighting role models and ensuring that there are safe spaces where women can educate, exchange experiences and explore their interest in technology. Congratulations!”
